This is one of the most used and well known social networking sites. It is a free-access site which enables you to contact other users and groups through your profile. European Schoolnet has a Facebook group. European Schoolnet has a group in Linked in, a site specialised in business networking. This site allows you to add connections of professionals that you trust. Flickr is an image and video hosting website, web services suite, and online community platform. It was one of the earliest Web 2.0 applications. Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to post text updates via SMS, instant messaging, email, Twitter’s website and third party applications. Users have their own profile page that displays their latest updates. In addition, users can become “friends” with one another, or simply be a “follower”.
