We kindly invite you to take part in the final event of eMapps.com project in Prague. The Conference on eMapps.com project impact in New Member States will take place in the Brevnov Monastery premises on the 12 February 2007.
eMapps.com is demonstrating how games and mobile technologies can be combined to provide new and enriching experiences for children in the school curriculum and beyond. The work concentrates on Europe’s New Member States and school children in the age group 9-12. It supports creativity in the classroom and outside and will contribute to practice for developing new teaching methodologies across Europe.
Scope of the event
During the one-day conference the organisers will introduce the main results of eMaps.com project in order to find solutions for the inclusion of eMapps game based learning in the educational system and opportunities for further exploitation of project results.
The following results will be discussed in details:
- eMapps.com learning impact;
- eMapps.com games and alternative reality games;
- 21th Century Living Map of Europe.
Expected participants
Policy-makers, representatives of e-Learning Networks, higher educational organisations are welcome at the conference together with the media and other interested parties.
As part of the eMapps project, recommendations to policy makers were produced by Anja Balanskat and Roger Blamire. A summary of the major points which will be presented at the conference is available here.
