Accelerating change in schooling: how do we learn from each other
On 26 April 2006, the P2P project final conference took place in Brussels. The event took stock of the work done in the project which started from January 2004 to April 2006. The one-day seminar is designed for decision-makers and practitioners involved in school innovation and ICT policy and practice.

Several documents and reports were disseminated at the one-day event. They included three reports from the P2P Policy strand on the the visits in France, Nothern Ireland and Finland, as well as a methodology report written by Professor David Wood describing how peer reviews can be used as a tool for policy development.

The Inspectorate strand was also a highlight of the event with Bert Jaap van Oel, from the Dutch Inspectorate, presenting the outcomes of the project: a Common framework for the Evaluation of ICT in education and its analysis.

As part of the School Practice strand, a report bringing together reports, analysis and recommendations from the strand was presented. Representatives from the schools which participated in the School practice strand also reported on the peer reviews which took place during the project.

The conference enabled participants to harness the potential of peer learning to promote a culture of systematic sharing and reflection at all levels in school education in Europe.
