The Finnish, Northern Ireland and French reports take stock of the how the P2P meetings contributed to develop a closer dialogue between senior officials working on e-learning policy and implementation in schools and show how peer learning led to a better understanding of the ICT policies in the countries involved in the project.
Other publications for the P2P project include publications on peer learning as a policy development tool, peer learning between schools and peer learning between inspectorates.
The P2P (Peer reviews and Observatory on Policy and Practice in ICT) project is partly funded by the European Commission eLearning programme and coordinated by European Schoolnet.
The first "peer review" of school ICT policy took place early December 2004 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Policy-makers from France, Finland and Norway, and experts from England and Switzerland, met senior school policy-makers to compare approaches to e-learning in schools with a focus on the integration of ICT in education.
On the EUN’s Insight portal (http://insight.eun.org) further documentation is available, including the country profile, key policy documents and materials used before, during and after the P2P visit.
A P2P triptych has also been published to describe the project and its main area of work. More information. paul.gerhard@eun.org.
