eMapps.com will devise a new form of training for teachers and students using games that can be played ‘live’ in a given territory on a new generation of mobile devices using Internet GPRS/3G, SMS and MMS technologies for learning while gaming.
To know more about the schools participating in the project each school was asked to report on the conditions for the use of ICT in their school, in particular:
- ICT in the school (budget, technical equipment, support);
- The school’s vision using ICT;
- Innovative ICT practices;
- The emapps.com project and participating teachers.
As a result a primary and lower secondary school in the Czech Republic points out several ways in which teachers are supported to develop pedagogical practices, to learn new skills, to collaborate with other teachers, to use ICT and to form networks out of schools. Computers are available in all teachers’ offices and each classroom is connected to the internet. The school is very active in receiving grants to build up ICT. To support teachers’ collaboration and exchange of practice, the school does team building activities outside the school and prepares courses where teachers teach each other.
